reply suggestions are only as good as what they know. memory is what they know.
what it is for
if you answer the same questions all day, your pricing, your hours, your refund policy, memory saves you retyping them. put the facts in once. reply suggestions pull the relevant ones automatically, and only the relevant ones.
add facts
- settings, memory.
- paste text directly, or give it a url and nonolingo fetches the page and strips it down to the words.
- it gets split into chunks. the count next to each source tells you how much it stored.
you can also save something on the fly: highlight any text anywhere, then press m when the popup appears.
this never leaves your mac. memory lives in a file on your machine. when a reply needs a fact, only the few matching lines travel with that one request. your whole knowledge base is never uploaded, and we never store it.
what makes a good entry
- facts, not prose. "shipping takes 3 to 5 days" beats three paragraphs about logistics.
- one topic per source, so retrieval can tell them apart.
- keep it current. a stale price in memory becomes a stale price in your replies.
saved replies
answers you send verbatim belong in snippets, not memory. memory is for facts the ai reasons with, snippets are for text you want back word for word.
